[Gem OCs] Hematite

I spent the last few days making really quick ref sheets for my gem ocs in between Fineartstuck pages So I'm just going to ramble about them now. Here's Hematite, I changed him up a bit since my original drawing of him in my sketchbook. His gem is located on the left side of his head, and his summoned weapon is an axe. (I'll probably upload the rest sometime later o: )

The typical occupation on Homeworld for my version of Hematites are mercenaries of sorts. They don't exactly belong to a single Diamond's court but are available for battle when called upon, some even are easily excitable at the mention of a fight. When there are no battles or wars to be fought they often battle in arenas for other Gems' entertainment. Needless to say, Hematites are pretty amazing in combat.

This Hematite was never one to conform to Gem society, even when he was still on Homeworld. He found the pre-destination of Gems absolutely boring and strive to do whatever he wanted to do, and because of this was considered odd by others of the same Gem. He did, however, managed to find a single friend while still on Homeworld; a Fluorite pilot who had somewhat similar feelings towards Gem society, though not as strong as Hematite's. He did manage to convince them to plot a way to escape the planet.

The plan was set earlier than expected due to an unanticipated act of rebellion, mostly because Hematite could not control his emotions at the time. This does not happen often, but it was a rare occasion. He was already fed up with being disregarded as "just another Hematite soldier" and his frustration burst when a Gem, higher placed in society than he was, called him out when he chose not to battle when told to. In his frustration he lashed out and "poofed" the superior Gem (as well as a fellow (by-standing) Hematite). He immediately contacted Fluorite afterwards and they fled Homeworld, not before being chased by a few other Gem soldiers.

They were able to throw the pursuers off their tail and found their way to Earth, a few hundred years after the Rebellion. They quickly found refuge on the planet. Hematite was quick to participate in human culture, finding it a lot more interesting than the culture on Homeworld, while Fluorite took some time to adjust. (The jacket he is wearing is not actually part of his form but is a thing he bought from a nearby store. He likes it very much.)

Hematite is an easy-going Gem who is calm, reserved, intellegent, but is very easy to become friends with. He sometimes acts like a sort of peace-keeper between two opposing sides, and is considered "the glue" that keeps a ragtag team of Gems together. (This team in question consists of Hematite himself, his friend Fluorite, a reformed Sodalite soldier, an Earth-created Siam, and a lost Topaz.)
